Business Process Flow Conditional Branching

By Joe Gill  Published On 27th May 2015
Dynamics CRM 2015 business process flows now support conditional branching and in the process designer you now have the option to add a conditional branch to your process.

You can see in the example below that I have added a number of branches to a Case process so that the users are guided down a different route dependent on the case type.

Adding the branch conditions is all done through point and click in a similar fashion to business rules however you can choose to use an “or” condition which is not supported in business rules.

Branching is a great addition to Dynamics CRM 2015 allowing conditional branching to be easily added to a business process flow. However the conditions are restricted to checking values of the current record and you would have to use javascript if you wanted more complicated branching logic.
